Us

...we're committed to excellence

- We will not share or sell your information with anyone outside our organization. We treat our customer information with utmost care. We treat it seriously, sensitively, and securely

- We do not post images of your books anywhere, including but not limited to social media sites. At times we may ask you a favor if you might allow us to share before and after photos of a book of yours we've worked on, in the Portfolio section of our website. Note that for books we clean & press for free, in exchange we ask for the right to potentially post before and after photos of books we work on to the Portfolio section of our website

- We keep you updated through entire process

- We do high quality work, we're appropriately careful, treating the book(s) as if they were our own

- We show you photos of the book(s) upon receiving them

- We show you photos of the book(s) when we have completed working on them

- We put the book(s) back in the same bags/boards that you sent them to us in

- We ship the book(s) back to you using the same packaging you sent to us, unless packaging was damaged or we deem that you used inappropriate or inadequate packaging

- We are human and we are not perfect, so even as diligent as we are, sometimes we make mistakes. We will always be honest with you about any mistakes we might make cleaning/pressing your books. In such an unlikely event, we'll have to come to an agreement on remediation

You

...you break it, we fix it

- Cost per book for normal cleaning & pressing service is at a flat rate of US$15.00. For more rigorous and time-consuming cleaning & pressing, we may have to negotiate. If you can be accurate as to condition before you ship, we will be in a good position to anticipate overall price

- You pay for round-trip shipping to us as well as back to you (Pirate Ship is a free membership site that you can use to get cheaper rates on shipping. We do not get a kickback by referring you to them. We use them ourselves). Pay us for return shipping as appropriate using some easy to use payment system such as Venmo, Cash App, or PayPal Friends&Family

- Ship the book(s) how you wish, deciding on which shipping carrier to use, but do not use USPS Media Mail because it's not technically allowed to use that shipping method for comic books, plus USPS can seize the books, and this shipping method takes longer

- Take detailed photos of the book(s) before you send them to us

- You must pack the book(s) carefully so they don't get damaged in shipping

- Use a shipping method which generates a tracking number and provide that to us before you send the package

- Make sure to bag and board each book individually

- Ideally send the book(s) using a sturdy comic book mailer (it should allow for up to around 5 normal sized books). Larger shipments will require a larger package such as a box. Use adequate shipping materials such as bubble wrap or packing peanuts to protect the shipment

- Sandwich the book(s) between rigid pieces of cardboard where the cardboard is larger than the size of the book dimensions so there is no overhang (see photos on shipping & packaging page for tips & techniques)

- We are not responsible for damaged or lost packages as we cannot control the shipping carriers. You must take on this risk

- It is of utmost importance that you notify us of any risky parts of any of the books you send us, such as a nearly detached cover or staples, or bindery defects, etc., so we are aware and can take extra precautionary measures
